First to clarify the reason I wrote this essay. I have been gambling on the web or at land based betting houses for many years. I have gone through many thousands of dollars in only a short period of time and still on occasion, I’ll go too far. It appears you are just having fun until you start to track your defeats and the guilt sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can win it back" repeatedly. It does not works. Then you become queasy in your stomach and the harder you try the quicker you are deprived.

When you notice that you’re ahead, remain on the UP! When you begin to be beaten, do not say to yourself, "well just maybe one more" and again and again, trust me, this method almost never ever works. Say you’re betting on slot games, have an amount set aside prior to beginning your play. DO NOT go over that boundary, regardless how appealing. If you happen to win, put that in a different canister. Do not spend your successes no matter what. As soon as you’ve gone through your primary set limit, stop. Head out, regardless if it’s on the internet or at a brick and mortar casino, do not stick around. Always remember, there will be a different day, another time.

Remember, gambling should be exciting not backbreaking, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcannot manage the cost, do not even begin.
